Time For You To Move On
What happened to Loyalty and Respect
Alan Soloman had just finished lunch with Ted Daniels when his phone rang, he took a look at the screen and hit send to voice mail. Ted started laughing ‘’I do the same thing with annoying spam calls, let’m listen to my voice mail message and then offer to clean my vents.’’ Alan shook his head. ‘’No, this is different. That was my office, it was from my new boss. There’s a meeting I have to attend tomorrow morning and they want me to give them my client list and contacts before we get together. I have a bad feeling about their intentions, so I keep avoiding them.’’
Ted stood up, ‘’Well, since we don’t know what tomorrow brings, lets do this. Hold back on renewing my contract with the station. If they decide to do anything foolish like trying to let you go, I’ll take my business, (and what it’s worth to them which I think is about three million a year) to another broadcaster. I won’t sign with anybody unless you’re attached to the deal.
Alan and Ted hugged and Alan nodded his head ‘’I appreciate your friendship and loyalty.’’ Ted shook his head ‘’Alan, you’ve got it wrong, it’s the other way around. I also know from our annual Appreciation Dinner that I’m not the only one. Let me know what happens with your office.’’
