The Multi-Million Dollar Date

Steven Cohen was absolutely delighted when his friend Shawna Zatsman invited him to the ‘’Ultimate Charity Ball.’’ Shawna was a top tier Publicist and she worked for a huge multinational Corporation. ‘’You have to go with me Steven, you’ll be with really interesting people and it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. Tickets to attend are astronomically high, and the elite of the elite meet. I don’t know if we’ll socialize with anybody, but at least I’ll have someone I can hang out with. I find the philanthropists tend to only gravitate to other socialites and it reminds me of High School and not being invited or able to sit at the cool table in the cafeteria during lunch.’’

The idea of going to the Paramount Country Club was something Steven had wanted to do for a very long time. He had heard stories about the legendary place but had never been there. ‘’The Ultimate Charity Ball’’ was being held there so Steven thought it would be a very memorable night. ‘’Don’t worry Shawna, I won’t let you down, we’ll have the best time ever.’’

Two days before the event Shawna called Steven to remind him it was a black tie event. This caused Steven some consternation as the closest thing he had to black was navy blue. He figured nobody would really pay attention to him or what he wore as he wasn’t one of the ‘’special guests.’’
