Bradley Davis always had a secret crush on Marni Sampson. She was the perfect woman, she was decent, funny, intelligent, cosmopolitan, and very attractive.

Brad and Marni had met on the first day of University and had developed a strong friendship and incredible bond. When Brad’s Dad had suffered a heart attack, Marni was there for him. He was taking a long commute every weekend from school back to his hometown, and she would drive him to the airport or train station and pick him up when he returned. There were so many times he wanted to kiss her and profess his feelings but he couldn’t

Marni had a serious boyfriend named Michael Cohen. They had grown up together and were inseparable. In the last year of University, Michael shocked Marni by falling in love with another woman and she was crushed. Brad wanted to step in and be her knight in shining armour but he was involved in his own relationship with Barbi Lerner and just couldn’t do it. Their timing had been off and he regretted it.

Two years after they graduated, Brad received an invitation to Marni’s wedding. They hadn’t kept in touch as much as Brad would have liked.
