Marvin The Spy
What’s going on with Marvin
The offices of Glick, Stern, and Levin were the home of a team of serious Accountants. They worked for some major clients and their work was both intense and confidential. They did research on IPO’s and they needed to be tight lipped because the information they possessed would influence opening stock prices and the trajectory of the stock.
Marvin Zalman was an older fellow who was non-descript. He didn’t socialize with people and kept mostly to himself. He was considered ‘’The Clean Up’’ guy who reviewed all documents before they were presented to the partners. He had been at the firm since the start and never seemed to get phased about anything. He was older and kept mostly to himself, till that Thursday at 11:30 am started happening. It was first noticed by Herschell Ostrepeller. No matter what the work flow was like, Marvin would leave the office and return at 1:15 pm. The thing was he never told anybody where he was going or where he had been. This caused Herschell to become suspicious of what was going on.
One Thursday, Herschell saw Marvin rushing through an important project and then much to his disbelief he saw Marvin sign off on the documents without doing serious review work. This was dangerous for the firm and left them in a perilous position, what if the figures were wrong.
