The call came in at three forty five am. Jupe knew the time because he rolled over and looked at the clock beside his bed before reaching for the phone. His first thought was just to ignore the ringing and go back to sleep, but he knew he couldn’t. If someone was calling him at a quarter to four in the morning it was important or a wrong number.
