BAD NEWS HARRY POTTER, VOLDEMORT AND THE DEATH EATERS ARE BACK;
As a Jewish guy who reads as many newspapers (from all corners of the earth) as possible every morning, I have come to a very sad conclusion. The Jewish people are once again being dehumanized and delegitimized in the media and by many high profile politicians.
I once asked my Father (he should only rest in peace) how six million Jews could have been murdered during the Holocaust. My family was in Germany and we were not spared from evil, my Great Grandmother was marched into the Ovens and I lost a Great Uncle in a Work Camp and other relatives were subjected to Nazi horrors. His answer was that the people accepted what the Nazi regime was propagating and they had no problem attacking the Jews because the hatred was inborn and when allowed to surface, it did.
If you read BDS (Boycott Divestment Sanctions) statements that are being mimicked by leading Politicians (especially Labour in the UK and Democrats in the United States) and the Nazi propaganda machine of 1938 the language used towards the Jews and Israel is not much different. Using Israel as a euphemism for the Jewish people, rewriting history, straight out vile lies,distortion and a willingness to believe that the only democracy in the Middle East is the most horrendous regime in the world is part of the inculcation of the masses towards hatred of the Jews and Israel. Unfortunately, the rise in Anti-Semitic attacks around the world shows that it’s working.
BDS is a very well funded organization that never condemns terror attacks against the Jewish nation and instead applauds them. When you rationalize murder against innocent people because they are Jewish you are a Nazi. BDS should stand for Brownshirts Destroy Society.
One of the most alarming trends is Jews who for some misguided reason think it is acceptable to provide support to BDS. They use their Jewishness to rationalize their hate. A leading Presidential Democrat was quoted as saying he was born Jewish so he couldn’t be an Anti-Semite,he is wrong. In the Concentration Camps there were Jews who did harm to other Jews, they were known as Kapos. I propose this Politician is a modern day Kapo as every time he delegitimizes Israel’s right to exist, he is spouting Nazi rhetoric.
In JK Rowling’s classic books, When Harry Potter finally defeated Voldermort, it is the end of a dark age and people could finally live without fear. When the Allies finally defeated the Nazis it was the end of the dark age and the Jewish people could live without fear. In today’s world with anti-Israel and anti-Jewish sentiment reaching a fervor pitch it is apparent that much of the Nazi hate is back in vogue and many people are embracing it. It is a cautionary situation and one Jews have to be worried about. So, be worried Harry Potter fans, even though Voldermort and the Death Eaters seemed to have been defeated, forever no longer means forever, you just have to read the news for proof.
