My good friend Gordon London is a stickler for details. He works in the Media/Public Relations business and is a true professional.

Gordon works for an electric car manufacturer that is making barrel loads of money. As one of the top executives at this fast moving (forgive the pun) company, Gordon is in charge of the annual shareholder’s meeting.

This year the event took place at one of Toronto’s swankiest hotels. Gordon invited some major Hollywood stars to add some glitter to the evening, and some of the heaviest hitters in the financial world.

There was a buzz from Journalists who talked about the latest rise in the Canadian dollar, while standing in line to have their picture taken with Chloe Kardashian.

The President of the company, Neil Angus, made a solid speech about the world alignment and the financial impact of electric cars, and the geo-political realities of being less reliant on oil and gas. It was nothing that caused any earth shaking revelations but he did keep it brief and nobody fell asleep while he was talking.

Dinner was a buffet that had enough food to serve the hungry and people seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves. There was a lot of swaying to the live Jazz band. That’s when the Chanteuse got loose.

I was just about to put a shishkabob into my mouth when a woman approached me and started singing at the top of her lungs. It was difficult to make out what she was warbling, but it had something to do with her baby on the morning train from nine to five.

Gordon leaped into action, he ran over to the nearby elevator bank and disappeared. He returned two minutes later with two burly guys who escorted the still singing mystery guest away from the guacamole dip and to the elevators.

Gordon went around smiling and talking to people as if nothing had ever happened. He was talking to the head writer for a major financial daily when the President grabbed him by the shoulder and asked him what had happened to Keena.

There was a puzzled look on Gordon’s face. Neil Angus explained that he had met Keena while he was in New York and she was performing at the departure gate at LaGuardia. He kept saying he thought she was extremely attractive and…
