Can’t wait to read what I wrote
I have never been a drug user or an over imbiber when it comes to Alcohol. When I feel frustration, confusion, disillusionment, upset, hostility, or just a feeling that I need to escape I turn to writing and Medium has become my platform of choice.
When it comes to the return on investment for writing short stories, I have to admit that besides a few donuts and tea, I haven’t had a large enough pay check to go and splurge on anything expensive. I don’t care.
I look at Medium as my Psychiatrist’s couch. It is a comfortable, safe place that allows me to express myself. I have written when I’m feeling extremely happy and at times when I’m feeling blue. I have written at four in the morning and at two in the afternoon. When the overwhelming urge to write happens, I don’t hesitate. I go with the flow.
There are some mornings when I’m working in the television production biz that my motor doesn’t seem to want to start. That is usually fixed by writing a short story which gets the creative process running.
One of the things I’ve loved about writing for Medium is when I receive responses and feedback from strangers. These are people I have never met and probably never will. Some of their comments are like gifts. As the great Sally Fields once said at an…
